The Jakeys are a nine piece original Celtic Folk Rock band from Denton, TX. The group was formed in December 2007 by Seamus Delmont (whistles, harmonica, vocals), Michael McConnel (concertina, autoharp, vocals), Chris Welch (guitar, vocals) and Wallace Campbell (bass, vocals). After writing several songs the group enlisted Jeff Barnard (percussion), Holly Manning (fiddle) and Patrick Newkirk (mandolin)to help fill out the sound. Shortly after The Jakeys first show, Kelly Evans came aboard as vocalist. Mike Newkirk (banjo) joined the group in the summer of 2009.
